2020 Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Quarter

Design

On the reverse side of the coin the design shows a girl planting a Norway spruce tree next to a larger tree. This depiction shows the life cycle of the forest and how conservationists help continue and protect this life cycle. The motto "LAND STEWARDSHIP" is shown on the coin.

Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park is located in Woodstock, Vermont. This park preserves the area where conservationist Frederick Billings managed a forest and dairy farm. The park is named after its previous owners.

Coin Information

These coins are part of the America the Beautiful quarters program.

The US minted different series of the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller quarter. There is the 2020 P quarter, 2020 D quarter, 2020 W quarter, 2020 S quarter, 2020 S proof quarter and 2020 S silver proof quarter.

Proof coins are essentially coins that have more detail. They are minted on special planchets and it takes longer to produce them. They are specifically made for collectors so you won't find any in your spare change.

The 2020 W quarters have a V75 privy mark to honor the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Note: The mint mark can be found on the obverse side of each coin under the "IN GOD WE TRUST" motto.

Clad Quarters

The standard 2020 Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller clad quarters in circulated condition are only worth their face value of $0.25. These coins only sell for a premium in the higher condition grades.

Both the 2020 P Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller quarter and 2020 D Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller quarter are each worth around $0.50 in about uncirculated condition. The value is around $0.75 in uncirculated condition with an MS 63 grade. Uncirculated coins with a grade of MS 65 can sell for around $1.

The 2020 W Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller quarter is worth around $10 in MS 63 uncirculated condition. The value is around $25 in MS 65 uncirculated condition.

The 2020 S Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller quarter is worth around $2 in MS 63 uncirculated condition. The value is around $3 in MS 65 uncirculated condition.

The 2020 S proof Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller quarter is worth around $3 in PR 65 condition.

Silver Proof Quarter

Grading System

About uncirculated- There is a slight trace of wear on the high points of the design. Half of the coin's mint luster is still intact.

MS 63 choice uncirculated- In the major focal areas there are some blemishes or contact marks. The coin's luster might not be as prominent.

MS 65 gem uncirculated- There is strong luster and eye appeal. A few light contact marks may be present but they are barely noticeable.

PR 65 proof- There are no flaws to this coin. A few blemishes may be present.
